Type of role: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Location: Edinburgh, UK (On-site or Hybrid)

Salary: £28,000 – £34,000, per annum/pro-rata (dependent on experience).

This means you’ll need to be objective-orientated, flexible, and able to take and implement feedback. You’ll also need to be able to accurately estimate how long things will take, and as and when required and is appropriate, clearly communicate any delays or blockers. As given our size we tend to collaborate, contribute, and rely on each other to deliver high-quality inputs that add up to the desired outcomes on both client-facing and internal projects.

 

About the role

You will be responsible for collaborating with principal consultants to define content strategies, briefs, capture source material, design, develop simple, accurate and compelling content for our clients and our organisation. The content you will be expected to design and develop collaboratively with our research and UX specialists includes:

Client-facing content we deliver, for example:

  • Research reports
  • Competitor reviews
  • Content strategies and plans
  • Value proposition content
  • Key messaging houses
  • Blog content
  • Brochure content
  • Web page content
  • Training and educational content
  • Presentation content
  • Video storyboards and scripts
  • and other key deliverables.

Public content we publish, for example:

  • Blog posts
  • Case studies
  • Brochures
  • Sales landing pages
  • Presentation content
  • Training and educational content
  • Long-form reports
  • Short videos
  • Social content
  • and other key deliverables etc.

Over time we would expect you to become comfortable enough with the processes and outputs we deliver to facilitate and manage end-to-end value proposition, content strategy, and content development projects.

 

Core responsibilities

Develop and publish content/campaigns:

  • Conduct research, present findings, and develop content development plans/draft deliverables
  • Contribute to the development of brochures, case studies and other public facing cross-channel marketing content and collateral
  • Analyse and report on content/campaigns published.

Assist with client work:

  • Contribute to the design and development of client-facing deliverables
  • Contribute to ensuring all internal and external deliverables are quality assured
  • Provide support at workshops
  • Capture and develop post-project marketing content, e.g. testimonials, case studies.

 

Essential knowledge, skills & experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent computer literacy skills (espc. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Demonstrable experience of planning, researching, designing and developing high-quality content
  • Experience of working in a marketing or creative role
  • Ability to work as part of a team but also be confident working on solo projects
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

 

Desirable knowledge, skills & experience

  • Experience of using content management systems
  • Experience of using social media accounts and/or platforms
  • Experience of capturing and editing images/video content.
  • Demonstrable experience of high-fidelity design tools, e.g. Adobe Creative Suite
