Frequently asked questions

  • We are following the Scottish Government’s guidance on working safely during coronavirus. This includes:

    • Wearing face masks in the communal areas
    • Providing hand washing facilities for all staff and guests
    • Having a well ventilated workspace
    • Increased cleaning in the office
    • Conducting regular risk assessments
    • Adhering the Test & Protect procedures.

  • Desks and meeting spaces are available between office hours: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM. Please contact us to confirm bank holiday, evening and weekend access.

  • Please contact us to discuss your requirements. If we can’t help, we’d be happy to recommend some alternative options.

  • Unfortunately the office is not accessible. There is a lift that you can use (we are situated on the second floor). However, there are 6 steps in between this and the main entrance.

  • Yes, access to two toilets, with internal sinks are available within the office.

  • Yes, access to a small kitchen area is available. This contains a kettle, microwave and small fridge.

  • We appreciate how important speed and connectivity are! We have a fast Internet connection (provided by Virgin Business) that whilst not perfect performs well during office hours (and even better out with these). The max/average download speed is 220 Mbps, and the max/average upload speed is 20 Mbps.

  • Yes. We have taken additional steps to ensure our guest and closed WiFi networks are as stable as possible. However, like any WiFi connection, this can sometimes drop-out or be slower than expected.

    The average upload speed on WiFi you can expect is: 20 Mbps

  • Yes, this can be accommodated.

  • No, we adhere to WiFi network security best practices and therefore WPS has not been enabled on any of our WiFi networks. Should your corporate device require this, please contact us to discuss your specific requirements.

  • Yes, although we ask that:

    • When possible you notify us of this in advance
    • Always ensure all visitors sign-in and out.
  • Yes, we have a dedicated WiFi network that is available to guests.

  • Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

  • This is dependent on your network. EE’s reception is poor, although most other networks seems to be fine.

    To ensure the best mobile phone call quality possible we would recommend enabling WiFi for voice calls.

  • Well we’re obviously biased but here’s what we think:

    It’s a relaxed working environment, and as user research and design studio, there’s plenty to read, TVs to watch and even lego and some remote control toys to play with!

    In terms of internal noise, it’s probably quieter than your typical open plan office. But it’s certainly not a library either, calls are made and our day to day work tends to involve a lot of dialogue. So there’s no need to feel conscious if you’re making a call or holding meetings, it will just add to the background noise.

    In terms of external noise, we’re on a busy street so you can hear traffic and people (and sometimes dogs) in the offices above/below.

    In terms of temperature, it’s really easy to control the temperature in the office and we don’t tend to fall out over this! The heating gets turned up when it’s cold, and windows get opened when it’s warm.

    There’s plenty of space to wander around and stretch your legs

    There’s plenty of great local options for coffee, lunch, etc.

    Negatives – there are only 2 toilets and no shower, the kitchen could be bigger … but to be honest – it’s a really great place to work!

  • Yes, this can be arranged.

  • Yes, small lockable pedestal or cupboard can be provided for an additional fee.

  • During office hours a code is required to enter the building. Access can also be provided via an entry-phone system.

    Our second floor office suite is secured by an additional external door lock.

    Out of office hours the building is secured by an additional and advanced security external door lock.

    Please note: CCTV is in operation at the main door of the building at all times.

  • We ask anyone and everyone who hires a space within our office to:

    • Respect other people’s privacy and confidential information
    • Maintain privacy, security and confidentiality best practices
    • Sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement.
