How to make a personal data request
You can ask us to:

- delete personal data
- restrict how your personal data is used
- consider an objection to how your personal data is used
- provide or transfer personal data in a portable format, where applicable

Some data protection rights are qualified and do not apply in every situation. If we cannot do what you have asked, we will explain why and tell you what you can do next.

Confirming your identity
We may ask for information to confirm your identity or your authority to act for another person where this is reasonably necessary.
We will only ask for information that is proportionate to the nature of the request and the personal data involved. We will tell you what is needed and why. Please do not send identity documents unless we ask you to.
If we hold your information on behalf of a client
We sometimes hold personal information on behalf of a client organisation. In those circumstances, the client may be responsible for responding to your request.
You can still send the request to us. We will explain who is responsible and, where appropriate, pass the request to the client promptly so that it can be considered.
What happens after we receive your request?
We will acknowledge your request and may contact you if we need further information to understand it, locate the relevant personal data or confirm your identity or authority to act for another person.
We will respond without undue delay and normally within one month of receiving your request or, where applicable, the information reasonably required to confirm your identity or authority.
We may extend the response period by up to a further two months where a request is complex or you have made several requests. If this applies, we will tell you within the initial one-month period and explain why more time is needed.
