UX Scotland 2014 announced their call for speakers a few months ago. Even though things have been incredibly hectic of late we knew we had to make the time to get something together for this year’s conference.

Now that the conference programme has been confirmed we’re delighted to announce that our very own Esther and Claudio from Dubit will be presenting two tutorials on the Thursday 19th of June.

We’re delighted to be collaborating with Claudio on these tutorials as he brings a wealth of experience on game research tools and how to help clients engage with their audiences. Put simply, if you’re looking for an expert on user research with children he’s your man!

The tutorials

14:15 – 15:00 UX for gamer acquisition, retention and conversion

By running through examples of research and good practice, participants will learn the best ways to increase usability, user engagement and satisfaction during the fundamental period of starting a game for the first time, as well as different tactics deployed to encourage payments in freemium games.

15:30 – 16:45 User research & testing with children
